In 1967, a watch was born that arranged the tone for Grand Seiko’s future and set up its unique design language. The style of this watch went on to be one of the most recognizable designs within the Grand Seiko lexicon and it has been passed down from era to generation, remaining classic. The cool glowing blue dial of the SBGW309 is actually reminiscent of windswept, snow-covered trees and shrubs that transform into moon like shapes known as “snow creatures, ” or “tree ice” in Japanese.
