Paris, France (Sports Network) - Serena Williams domination of womens tennis continued Sunday with a straight-set win over Italys Roberta Vinci in the fourth round of the French Open. The top-seeded Williams rolled to a 6-1, 6-3 triumph and extended her career- best winning streak to 28 straight matches. She hasnt lost since falling to Victoria Azarenka in the Doha final back in February and entered the second Grand Slam of the year off titles in Miami, Charleston, Madrid and Rome. Sundays victory gave Williams a 20-0 mark on clay this year. She also improved to 71-3 overall since a stunning first-round loss to Virginie Razzano in last years French Open, and has dropped just 10 games through the first four rounds of this years stay at Roland Garros. The 15th-seeded Vinci has given Williams the most trouble thus far by taking four games. However, it really wasnt much of a contest. Williams won the first four games and captured the opening set in 29 minutes. The second set was closer, but Williams won the final 10 points of the match. Next up for the 15-time Grand Slam champ is Russian veteran Svetlana Kuznetsova, a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 upset winner over eighth-seeded German Angelique Kerber. Kuznetsova won the 2009 French Open, beating Williams in the quarterfinals along the way, and was the runner-up in 2006. She has reached her second Grand Slam quarterfinal in as many tries this year after a trip to the final eight at the Australian Open in January, but hasnt won a tournament of any kind since 2010 in San Diego. Williams, the 2002 French champ, owns a 6-2 lifetime mark against Kuznetsova, but the two havent met since 2009 at the Tour Championships in Qatar. "It will be a good match," said Williams. "Last time we played here she won so that will probably get her pumped up and shes on a comeback. She has nothing to lose but everything to gain. Ive had some pretty tough matches on clay this year and for sure this will be another." Fifth-seeded Sara Errani also advanced to the quarterfinals with a 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 win over Spains Carla Suarez Navarro. Errani, the 2012 runner-up, will next meet fourth-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska, a 6-2, 6-4 winner over 2008 French champ Ana Ivanovic. Fourth-round play will continue on Monday. Defending champion and second seed Maria Sharapova will face American Sloane Stephens, while third-seeded Victoria Azarenka will take on 2010 French champ Francesca Schiavone. Also, Serbias Jelena Jankovic will square off against American Jamie Hampton and Russian 12th seed Maria Kirilenko will meet yet another American in Bethanie Mattek-Sands. I thought he was very bright obviously, he understood the game, he can make passes in small areas that I have never seen before, Stevens said. And I tried to coach him like I would coach anybody else. The only thing I would say that you have to be yourself so I coached him like I would coach anybody else.Rondo was working his way back from a torn ACL in his right knee and played in 30 games during Stevens first season -- 2013-14.
